Day 1 Highlights – IPC Analysis & Power Mapping Training – May 2026

Today, Enhancement of Youth and Women Empowerment in Development (EYWED) proudly joined fellow youth clubs and youth-led organizations at Ilala Crest Lodge for the first day of training under the ACTIVE Project implemented with VSO.

The training focused on Intersection Position and Condition (IPC) Analysis and Power Mapping, equipping participants with practical knowledge and tools to better understand inclusion, participation, community dynamics, and decision-making processes.

The session was officially opened by the Mzuzu District Youth Officer, Mr. Misheck Msokwa, who encouraged participants to share the knowledge gained with others in their communities to expand impact and strengthen youth-led development initiatives.

At EYWED, our mission is to empower women and youth through digital literacy, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and transformative education that promote sustainable livelihoods, enterprise growth, and social inclusion. Participating in this training aligns with our vision of building an inclusive and economically resilient Malawi where women and youth leverage innovation and leadership to transform their communities.

Together, we are building stronger communities and empowering the next generation of changemakers.

The day was interactive and insightful, featuring practical case studies, group discussions, networking opportunities, and collaborative learning among passionate young leaders committed to creating positive community change.

As we prepare to support the implementation of the ACTIVE Project, EYWED remains committed to advancing youth empowerment, inclusive development, and evidence-driven community interventions across Malawi.
